Imagine there’s no heaven. It’s easy if you try. No hell below us. Above us only sky. Imagine all the people living for today.
Imagine there’s no countries. It isn’t hard to do. Nothing to kill or die for. And no religion too. Imagine all the people living life in peace.
Imagine no possessions. I wonder if you can. No need for greed or hunger. A brotherhood of man. Imagine all the people sharing all the world.
You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope some day you’ll join us and the world will live as one.
Lately I haven’t felt much like downloading any new music to my ipod, so I’ve been straying from my playlists and just shuffling through my entire music library. All these old songs that I still know every word to pop up every so often and I get overwhelmed with memories. It’s actually kind of enjoyable and sometimes even funny.
So tonight, while I was driving home from my friend’s house, Ashes by Pepper came on. Wow, now doesn’t that bring up some “Summer of 2009” flashbacks.
I’m not going to say I didn’t tear up a little.
